研究了池养鲥鱼生长特性．结果表明，其生长速度随季节和水温而变化，以９月中旬至１１月中旬和５月中旬至７月中旬生长较快．适宜生长水温为２５—３２℃．应用ＶｏｎＢｅｒｔａｌａｎｆｆｙ方程求得体长、体重生长方程Ｌ１＝５１８．９５［１—ｅ（－０．３７５１（ｔ－０．８７６３），Ｗｔ＝２２０５．５［１－ｅ（－０．３７５１（ｔ－０．８７６３）］３，体重生长拐点位于２．８０５３处，属性成熟拐点．其生长速度和加速度曲线能反映生长过程的变化特点．池养鲥鱼具有良好的生长潜力，可进行池塘商品化养殖．

Studies on the growth characteristics of pond-reared reeves shad before its maturation show that its gtowtk-rate varies with different seasons and water temperature, being maximum from September to November and from May to July. The optimal water temperature is 25-32℃. Its body weight-body length relationship can be expressed by W=5.0694 ×10(-5)L(2.8035), and the general pattern of its annual growth can be expressed by Von Bertalanffy growth equation: L1= 518. 95 [ 1-e(-0.7351(t-0.8763)],Wt=2205.5[ 1- e(-0.3751(t-0.8763)]3, tr= 2.8053. Its groWth dynamics is represented by its growth rate and accelerated curves. The pond-reared sbad has a high growth potential, and can be cultured commercilly in ponds.
