The differences between products and crude oil pipelines are introduced by describing their own features. The main features of crude oil pipelines are as follows : ①The crude oil transported is not an end product; ②The delivery capacity varies with the oilfield output;③With its terminal being a refinary or a transfer station, crude oil pipeline operation needs a relatively simple management. Developing on the basis of crude oil pipeline, the products pipeline has the following features : ①The products transported are final goods;②They must be delivered with tight-line and batch transpotation mode;③Their terminal is sales market ;④The products transported have a varied and variable variety; ⑤The delivery capacity will not decrease with output ;⑥It has a more complicated management and dispatching system;⑦Close interface supervision is needed.
