根据影响烤烟质量的地质背景因素，对宣威烤烟种植进行了新的区域划分。拟定了地貌、δ值、区域生态地质条件和土壤等四个综合评价指标，采用三级筛分方法，划分出最佳优势、优势、次优势和无优势等四个烤烟种植地质背景区。以指导该市及邻近地区的烤烟布局和区划，从而提高烤烟品质。

Basing upon the 4 determined comprehensive evaluation indices of geomorphology,δ value,regional ecology-geology condition and soil,Xuanwei is divided into 4 geological setting regions of the flue-cured tobacco planting,ie the most advantageous,advantageous,sub-advantageous and disadvantageous, by three degrees screening method. This division can be used as a very useful direction to arrange and distribute the flue-cured tobacco planting in Xuanwei and the neighbouring area in order to raise the quality of flue-cured tobacco.
