Model WSY-II Portable Microwave Instrument for Measuring Moisture of Paper in Production Line by Scanning

本文叙述了WSY-Ⅱ型便携式微波纸张测湿仪的特点、性能、原理、组成、定标,试验结果和误差分析。

Measuring the moisture of paper in production-line by either infrared ray or microwave, as usually seen in China and foreign countries is used in association with model 'O' or 'C' scanning frame. For the small paper machine, this system seems to be too large and expensive. Thus model WSY-II portable microwave instrument for measuring moisture of paper in production line by scanning was developed by Hunan Zhujiang Instrument Factory in 1986 after model WSY-I microwave instrument for measuring moisture of paper testing sample was developed in 1982. Model WSY-II instrument can mea- sure moisture of running paper web by scanning, or paper samples on spot. One instrument can be calibrated against several grades of papers and used for several paper machines, without interfering the paper machines operation. This article introduces briefly the principle, property and error analysis and test results of model WSY-II instrument.
