A new treatment for the periarthritis of shoulder in pain stage was introduced here.the author acupunctured the Chien Yu point with an acupuncture needle and remained it for 24 hours,in combination with plucking manipulation. The patients activate the muscle actively in order to keep the needling part in needling sensation 30 patients have been cured,proving that it has the merrits of shorttreatment course and quickly recovering function.The cure rate is 100%. From the study of modern acupuncture,the author has made some analysis on the mechanism of acupuncturing with remaining the needle.
