It is found in this paper, by the experimental results and the calculation that the delta-star starting motor drive can increase the starting torgue of a loom and shorten the starting period. This kind of device is very simple and easy to use. It can eliminate the starting marks caused by the loom at beating-up, It is a valuable applied technique, which can be applied both to reform old looms amd to design new looms.
