APPLICATION OF CATASTROPHE THEORY ON UNSTABLE FAILURE OF ROCK AND EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION

摘要 为研究岩石先稳的破坏过程,将试验机与试样作为一个系统,这样利用突变理论研究该系统的失稳机制,建立产生失稳时的位移突跳计算式;利用自制的模拟材料在试验机上模拟了失稳现象,并测定了失稳时的位移突跳量,理论推导与实验结果相吻合,解释了注水软化抑制岩爆的机理。 In order to study the process of unstable failure of rock, the testing machine and the rock specimen are consided as a system. The instability mechanism of the system is studied by applying the Catastrophe Theory. The equation for caculating the sedden jump of unstable failure of rock is derived. The self-designed materials were tested to simulate the instability phenomena of rock failure, in which the sedden jump of deformation was measured. The experimental results show a good agreement with the theoretical results. The mechanism of controlling rockburst by injecting water to rock was also discussed in this paper.
