徐州市位于江苏省西北部,居于陇海和津浦铁路之交点,交通发达,辖六县(市)五区,人口836万;1965年麻风患病率为0.1210‰,属中流行区;到1980年底累计发现病人1617名,除治(自)愈、外迁、死亡外,尚有现症者260名,患病率为0.04‰。
Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, have a population of 8,300,000 and had accumula-tively had 1617 cases of leprosy till the end of 1980. In the period of 1981 to 1990,177 mew cases of leprosy were detected, including 128 men and 49 women with proportion of 1 : 2. 32 in MB to PB ,a mean disease duration of 3. 1 years and a mean age of 39. 8 years. Disability (over Grade II) rate was 36.16%.
