MEBO for Treating Perineal Burns

会阴部烧伤因部位较隐蔽，又因烧伤深度不均，加之易被大小便污染，皮肤皱褶多、毛重、汗腺、皮脂丰富，有利于细菌繁殖；后期因畸形愈合，造成程度不同的残废，为烧伤难治部位之一。作者对128例会阴部烧伤病人应用MEBO治疗，效果满意，并有如下体会：1．可保护隔离创面，使大小便不易直接污染创面；2．有利于引流，从而给残存上皮成长创造了条件；3．避免了切、削痂植皮；4．止痛效果好，对婴幼儿尤其适用。

Perineal burns are susceptible to infections be-cause the position is hidden and the wounds are often contaminated by urine. The skin is foIded, Follicles,sweat glands and sebaceous glands have excretions favorable to bacteria growth. Infected perineal burn wounds often resulted in deformity.The authors treated 128 cases of perineal burn using MEBO. The resuIts were very satisfactory. The merits of MEBO are as follows:1. MEBO protects the wounds from contamina-tions.2. MEBO promotes drainage and creates a condi-tion favorabIe to the growth of surviving epithelial cells.3. No need to perform escharotomy and skingrafting.4. MEBO has good analgesic effect.
