本文回顾了建国以来铁路信号技术发展和建设成就，以及铁路科研工作所做出的主要贡献；分析了当今世界铁路信号技术发展趋势，提出迎接新世纪铁路信号技术发展新形势的科研工作重点。

In this paper,a review of the progress and achievement on in railway signallingtechnology and constraction in China is made,including the main contributions of CARStherewith.An analysis of the current worldwide trend of the,developrT1ent of railwaysignalling technology is given.Finally the auther rnakes suggestions on the main researchitems of domestic railway signalling with a view to meeting the new circumstance of develop- ment of 21st century railway signalling.
