Research of reducing the peak-to-average power ratio of OFDM signal

摘要 OFDM系统的一大缺点就是有较高的峰值平均功率比(PAPR),大大降低了线性功率放大器的效率.本文提出一种用预编码(Precoding method)的方法来降低OFDM信号的PAPR,引入预编码矩阵将映射后的数据进行功率分配,从而达到降低PAPR的目的.该方法不影响频谱效率,不需要进行附加运算以及收发两端的握手信息.计算机仿真表明对传统的64个子载波OFDM系统PAPR有将近9dB的改善. The shortcoming of OFDM system is the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) which greatly reduced the efficiency of the High Power Amplifier (HPA).This article proposes a new method to reduce PAPR,by using precoding matrix to redistribute the powerd istribution of the input sequence and then reduce the PAPR of OFDM signal.This method does not have any additional computations and shake-hand information at both transmitter and receiver.It achieves 9dB improvement compared to the conventional OFDM system with 64 subcarriers.
