指路标志汉字间距的试验数据分析

Experimental Data Analysis for Character Spacing of the Guide Sign

采取模拟试验的研究方法,通过模拟驾驶系统测试指路标志在不同字间距、同一速度下驾驶员视认距离的变化。试验数据表明字间距在2/10h～6/10h("h"是字高)之间,视认距离有一定的增加;而字间距在6/10h～9/10h之间,视认距离基本保持不变。试验结果验证了我国现有指路标志汉字间距标准的合理性和科学性。

A research technique of simulation test was adopted to test the identification speed and distance of the guide sign's characters under different character spacings at the same speed.The test data indicated that the identification distance certainly increased when the character spacing between(4/10～6/10)h('h' is the character height);the identification distance remained invariable when character spacing between(6/10～9/10)h.Test results validated the reasonability and scientifically of current national standard on the word spacing of traffic guide signs.
