The requirements of the latest ILSAC GF-5 specification for passenger car engine oils and the performance difference between ILSAC GF-5 and ILSAC GF-4 were introduced.The differences among the engine oil performance requirements caused by engine technologies change,fuels change and legislation demands were analyzed.Based on those differences,the enlightenment from the ILSAC GF-5 specification was introduced.
