曹植与吴质交恶考辨——以对曹植《与吴季重书》的解读为中心

A Study on How Cao Zhi and Wu Zhi Became Enemies:Based on the Reinterpretation of Cao Zhi’ "Letter to Wu Jizhong"

曹植的后半生处境悲惨,名为侯王,实同囚徒,这除了他前期曾与曹丕争立太子这个主要原因外,还与他得罪了曹丕的心腹吴质有关。曹植的《与吴季重书》对吴质的嘲笑、挖苦和鄙视,深深地刺痛了吴质的心,使他铁下心来帮助曹丕对付曹植。长期以来,人们往往将此信当作二人友好交往的证据,从而未能由此发现二人的真实关系,因而也未能揭示出造成曹植后半生悲惨命运的重要根源。

Being a prince in name but a prisoner in reality, the second half of Cao Zhi’ life is very deplorable. There are two reasons for his misery. The main reason is that he fought for the crown against Cao Pi but failed. The other is that he offended Wu Zhi, Cao Pi’s confidant. The ridicule, satire and contempt that Cao Zhi directed towards Wu Zhi in his 'Letter to Wu Jizhong' hurt Wu Zhi’s feelings so much that the latter was determined to revenge himself on Cao Zhi by helping Cao Pi. The letter has long been taken as the evidence of the friendship between Cao Zhi and Wu Zhi and their real relations have not been identified. Consequently, people failed to recognize the second important reason for Cao Zhi’s misery in the second half of his life.
