Technological Progress and Democratization of Art

艺术长期处在精英化的状态中,而技术的进步在客观上促进了艺术的民主化,使得大众逐步获得了艺术的享用权、评鉴权和创作权。后技术时代的到来更是使得艺术世界由等级分明的森严殿堂变成了众声喧哗的狂欢广场。但是,即使在后技术时代,技术本身并不是民主的,它发展和应用的方向依然被精英阶层操控。所以,艺术真正的民主化无法孤立地完成,它与社会其他领域的民主化进程处在互动之中。

Art has been dominated by elites for a long time,and the progress of technology objectively promoted the democratization of art,making more and more people share,evaluate and create art.The coming of post-technological age even makes art change from a clearly-ranked palace to a carnival square.Yet,in post-technological age,technology is not democratic,with its research and development still dominated by elites.So the democratization of art can't be realized alone because it is interactive with democratizations in other cultural fields.
