“整齐”与“简约”在汉英散文翻译中的体现

和谐是中西文化理想追求的审美凝结。中西文化对和谐的不同追求产生了不同的美学观和不同的语言观:中国美学讲究"协和",西方美学崇尚"简约";汉语强调"整齐美",英语侧重"简约美"。本文以文艺性散文为研究对象,从叠词、四字句、对偶、排比、反复五方面探析汉英散文翻译中如何体现各自的语言之美以及美质转化问题。

The harmony is the condensation of Chinese and western aesthetic ideals.Different pursuits of the harmony produce different aesthetics and different views of language:Chinese aesthetics stresses 'harmony' while western aesthetics 'simplicity';Chinese emphasizes on 'beauty of neatness' while English 'beauty of simplicity'.This paper takes literary prose as the research object and explores how Chinese prose reflects its beauty in both original version and English version respectively from the respects of duplicated words,four-word sentences,antithesis,parallelism and repetition,as well as how aesthetic qualities are transferred.
