Lu Xun's Philosophy of "Cultivating Personality"——The Eighth Discussion of the Relation between the Buddhism Culture and The Weeds

鲁迅的"立人"哲学包括"改造国民性"和"立人"两个方面,它的产生有一历史发展过程。"立人"哲学与佛文化、自主思想、众生平等、重善奉行有一定的联系。鲁迅在《野草》中,借用佛文化从四个方面实施"立人"哲学:信仰意识与看客心理,献身精神与自私行为,自主立场与奴才德性,战士英姿与庸众丑态。

Lu Xun's philosophy of 'cultivating personality' consists of two aspects: 'the reforming of Chinese people's character' and 'the cultivating of personality' and it underwent a historical development process.The philosophy of 'cultivating personality' is to some extent related to Buddhism culture,self-reliant thoughts,all-men-being-born-equal idea and the belief in doing good.In his The Weeds,Lu Xun,with the help of the Buddhism culture,interprets from four perspectives the content of his philosophy of 'cultivating personality': awareness of belief and spectator's psychology,devotion spirit and selfishness,self-reliant stand and slave personality,warrior's glory and mediocre person's ugliness.
