On the Reflection of Differences between Chinese and Western Thinking Modes on Chinese and English Syntax

本文初步探讨了中西方思维差异在英汉两种语言句法上的体现:汉语整体思维下的意合句式与英语个体思维下的形合句式;汉语整体模糊思维下的省略式构建与英语个体分析思维下的完整构建;汉语整体直觉型思维下的主题——评论式句式与英语个体分析型思维下的主谓式句式;汉语主体意识下的主动句与英语客体意识下的被动句。

The differences between the thinking patterns of different peoples are reflected in the syntactical structures of their languages.This paper concentrates on the differences in syntactical structures of Chinese and English,which results from different thinking patterns of the two peoples.The discussion are produced from four perspectives: unity VS dichotomy;synthesis VS analysis;intuition VS logic;subject consciousness VS object consciousness;being restrained.
