LAMOST大天区实际观测时间模拟

摘要 为了充分发挥LAMOST在实际观测中的巡天能力,利用SSS的基本算法,使用从兴隆观测站的近10年的时间观测记录作为观测时间,进行全天区(包括SGP位置)的巡天模拟.这次模拟将对望远镜的实际观测能力、光纤利用率、天区覆盖等指标给出重要的参考数据. The large sky area multi-object fiber spectroscopic telescope(LAMOST)is the most powerful spectroscopic survey telescope in the world.After the installation of all the hardware of LAMOST in 2008,a commissioning observation period is under way.With the real input catalog of galaxies,LRGs and QSOs selected from SDSS Dr6catalog,a survey simulation using the survey strategy system (SSS)of LAMOST was carried out.To better represent the real weather condition,a 10-year-long observation log from BATC survey of Xinglong station was added in the simulation.The results of this work offer an important estimation of the real survey strategy capability,the fiber utilization and sky area coverage,giving important information to astronomers for better target selection and survey plan arrangement.
