Relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have matured and currently are the strongest in their history. This assertion comes from Hu Zhengyue, Director General of the Department of Asian Affairs of China's Foreign Ministry, as he sat down with Beijing Review reporter Yan Wei two weeks before the China-ASEAN Commemorative Summit in southwest China's Nanning, Guangxi.
