Translators' Purposes and Translation Norms

文章从功能主义目的论出发,结合描写学派的翻译规范论,以《亲历历史:希拉里回忆录》中译本为例,分析了译者在翻译过程中的主导行为及其制约因素,进而指出,译者主体作为两种文化的中介,受译入语体系的规范所制约,需要(赞助人的)翻译目的来做指导以作出翻译决策,表现为既要接受赞助人的主导,又要迎合读者的期待视野,还要遵守自己的道德规范,其文化身份和文化取向不可避免地体现在其翻译策略的选择上。
