摘要
《镜花缘》中的"酒色财气"四关构思巧妙,由一系列与酒、色、金钱和怒气相关的典故编织而成。林太乙的译文尽量淡化典故信息以吸引普通读者,张心沧的译文为满足专业研究者尽量捕捉典故踪影。两位译者不同的翻译策略在于其翻译目的的不同。
The four passes in Jing Hua Yuan about wine,lust,money and anger are ingeniously created in which the plots of the stories are made up of a series of allusions on wine,lust,money and anger.LIN Taiyi tried to cover the information of allusions in her translation while H.C.Chang tried to explore and study the allusions in his translation.The two translators assumed different translation strategies in dealing with the allusions,basically because they did the translation for different translational purposes.
