融贯中西技艺的上海黄杨木雕“海派”黄杨木雕技艺技法赏析

APPRECIATION OF SHANGHAI-STYLE BOXWOOD CARVING SKILLS

上海黄杨木雕以其鲜明的特点,在本地传统特色工艺品种中有着较为重要的地位,是"海派"工艺的代表性品种。上海黄杨木雕产生、形成的历史虽不是十分长远,但它的技艺在发展、形成为"海派"特色过程中,吸纳西方美术技法、融汇传统技艺的特点,却是十分地典型。对"海派"黄杨木雕技艺形成影响较深的应该是上世纪二、三十年代的"土山湾文化"。"土山湾"位于现徐家汇地区。当时以土山湾为中心的天主教社区,成为了最具规模与影响的西方文化传播地之一。其中土山湾绘画馆是中国有史以来最早的西洋美术传教机构,在客观上。

Shanghai boxwood carving,which is a representative of shanghai-style crafts,occupies an important position among local traditional crafts with its sharp characteristics.It assimilated some western carving methods like dissection and inverse proportion,then mixed them with the traditional carving skills and formed a unique style.Tu-shan-wan,a gallery located in Xuhui District, had a deep effect on the forming of the style during the process.And the founder of shanghai- style boxwood carving,Mr.Xu Baoqing showed his talent and carved a career there.This article introduces the history and development of Shanghai-style boxwood carving;furthermore,it appreciates some representative masterpieces with detailed description and analysis.The author of this article also showed various tools and materials for boxwood carving and the skills of using them.In the end,the author summarizes the kernel of'Shanghai-style'.
