On the occasion of Salvatore Ferragamo's 80th anniversary,MoCA Shanghai is honored to cooperate with the leading Italian brand in organizing'Salvatore Ferragamo Evolving Legend 1928-2008'exhibition.Visitors will be given the opportunity to view the Ferragamo design concept,representing the beauty of Italian craftsmanship and reflecting the history of creative development in fashion. Tracing back to the 1920s,the art of Ferragamo shoemaking already emerged in the West as a symbol of'Made in Italy'luxury.Mr.Salvatore Ferragamo,renowned for his shoemaking techniques,devoted his lifetime to researching for and making fit and comfortable shoes.His inherent sense of aesthetics was brought into full play in shoe design.With his artistic talents,he also changed the history of shoemaking.His never-failing originality,elaborate techniques,exquisite and unparalleled design,as well as the use of the finest materials,reflected innovative design concepts right on the pulse of the times. Moreover,his cross-domain cooperation with artists brought his creativity in shoe design up to the level of art.Today,Ferragamo's shoes are simply revered as exquisite works of art made in Italy.
