The Cask of Amontillado is one of the short stories written by the American Romantic writer Alan Poe.By means of verbal irony of homophonic,overstatement,repetition,and dramatic irony etc.,he achieves horrible effects and reveals the Gothic themes of horror,revenge and death etc.
