Developing the Spirit of Democracy and Promoting Inter-party Relations

人民政协作为中国共产党领导的多党合作和政治协商的重要机构,是以中国共产党为领导核心,以各民主党派、各人民团体为基础组成的,中国唯一的由所有合法政党参加的,并以本党派名义在其中活动的多党合作组织,为促进党际关系发挥了举足轻重的作用。人民政协的民主协商方式,体现了民主精神,在新形势下,人民政协应进一步发扬民主精神,广开言路,集思广益,求同存异,增进共识,更好地促进党际关系。

The CPPCC is an important institution for multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of CPC, with the Chinese Communist Party as the leadership core and the democratic parties and people’s organizations as the basis, which is the legal political party participated by all democratic parties, has played a pivotal role to promote inter-party relations. The democratic consultation embodies the spirit of democracy. In the new situation, the CPPCC should further develop the spirit of democracy, provide wide opportunities for airing views, put their heads together, seek common ground while reserving differences and enhance consensus, to promote better relations between parties.
