This paper introduces the development trend of 'light forward copper back',the situation of light and copper's going forward hand in hand,progressive 'light forward copper back' construction mode,broadband access network optimization and the necessity of reform,FTTx evolution of 'light forward copper back' and 'combination of light and copper' and the two main development stages.It is concluded that 'the light forward copper back' ultimately is the inevitable trend of the development of the network.
