On the Strategic Meaning of Sino-Russian Cooperation in Oil Industry from the Perspective of China's Oil Security

石油经济是现代经济的重要特征,作为当今世界的主要石油进口国,中国经济的持续增长导致对进口石油的高度依赖,进口石油依存度的不断提高和进口石油来源地的相对单一成为中国经济实现可持续发展的重要制约因素。从国家经济安全和地缘政治的角度考虑,中国应充分认识并加强与俄罗斯在石油领域的合作。

Oil economy is an important pillar of modern economy.As one of the biggest oil importers,China's breakneck growth has made it highly dependent on foreign oil.The increasing reliance on foreign oil and the limited choices of oil sources have exposed China's desires to pull off sustainable development at the mercy of these restraints.This paper holds that China should step up cooperation with Russia in oil industry for the sake of economical and geopolitical security.
