A brief discussion on the Party's aim of keeping up with the times

全心全意为人民服务是中国共产党领导中国革命和建设的根本宗旨,它反映了中国共产党与其它党派的本质区别,在党的历史上发挥了巨大的作用;“三个代表”重要思想中关于中国共产党代表最广大人民根本利益和执政为民的内容,则是对党的根本宗旨在新的历史条件下作出的新的表述和重大发展,既体现了我党根本宗旨的深刻历史渊源,又反映了党与时俱进的理论品格。

Serving people wholeheartedly is the Communist Party＇s basic aim of leading China＇s revolution and building which reflects an essential difference between the Communist Party and other parties and played an important role in the Party＇s history. In the 16th session of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party has supplemented its new party constitution with ＂three representations＂, which clearly determines that the Party represents the basic interests of the broadest masses of people. This generalizes and develops the Party＇s essential aim in the new historic conditions.
