摘要 讨论了几种常见的光束质量评价方法,并分析了这些方法在对激光二极管光束质量进行评价时的局限性。分析了影响激光二极管光束利用透镜进行准直的难易程度的主要因素,给出了一种新的光束质量评价标准lθ5(l是发光源在平行于结平面方向的长度,θ是光束在垂直于结平面方向的发散角)较好地反映了在实际工程应用中光束准直的难易程度,此值越小光束越容易准直。并且还给出了一个参考值,当光束的lθ5值低于此值时,此光束可以被较好地准直而不引起较大困难。 Several familiar methods for evaluating beam quality are discussed, and the shortcoming of them used in evaluating beam quality of laser diode is also analysed. The main factors to influence collimating the beam of laser diode with lenses are analysed. A new quality parameter(QP) lθ^5 (l is the size of the emitter in the direction parallel to the junction plane, θ is the angle of the beam in the perpendicular direction.) for evaluating beam quality of laser diode is given. The difficulty of collimation is well expressed by this mean. The smaller the value of lθ^5 is, the more easily the beam is collimated. Furthermore we give a reference value of the QP, when the QP value of the beam is smaller than this value, this beam can be collimated without much difficulty.
