一个世纪以来,城市设计理论界呈现出丰富的思考,这些理论从不同角度对城市提出新的设想,对于我们今天全方位地理解城市设计实践具有重要的价值。本文从多角度归纳和分析城市设计理论思潮的发展,说明城市设计如何在建设城市和城市生活中发挥作用。系列文章分为六个部分。

In the past century, urban design theories showed the rich thoughts in the professional fields. From different point of view, the theories put forward new concepts for city development and provide us valuable reference to understand today＇ s urban design practice in full-scale. This paper sums up and analyses the trends of urban design theories from multi-angle of view, so as to understand how urban design exerts in the process of city and city life construction. The paper is divided to six parts, and there are the fifth and sixth parts in this issue.
