试论诗性汉语与诗歌翻译

On Poetic Chinese and Poetry Translation

汉语具有与生俱来的诗性特质,诗歌翻译不能无视这种特质。对汉英两种语言文字及其诗歌进行分析比较发现,以普遍的翻译标准衡量性质完全不同的诗歌翻译是不切实际的。此外,诗歌翻译的实践性不仅需要译者具备较高的文学修养和审美能力,也需要更大的胆识。

Chinese was born with a poetic nature. This unique nature should not be neglected in translation of or into Chinese poetry. Based on a contrastive study of Chinese and English and their poetry, this paper finds that it is impractic＇,d to apply the univers＇,d translating standards to poetry translation, which is very different from any other kinds of translation. The author of this paper ＂,also points out that the practice-oriented poetry translation needs not only good accormnlishment and taste in literature, but also finer courage.
