A Tentative Discussion about the Role of Trade Unions in the Enhancement of the Party's Governance Ability

工会组织在加强党的执政能力建设中,根据工会组织的性质和职能,发挥党联系工人群众的桥梁和纽带作用,使党的科学执政、民主执政、依法执政在工会工作中得到体现,维护职工利益,调动一切积极因素,把广大工人群众团结在党的周围,进一步扩大党的群众基础。

In the enhancement of the Party＇ s governance ability, trade unions have a role to play. According to their nature and functions, they can serve as a bridge between the Party and the working masses so as to manifest in their work the Party＇ s scientific and democratic governance by law. They also serve to safeguard workers＇ rights, motivate all positive factors, rally the working masses around the Party, and, as a result, further expand the Party＇s mass base.
