The details of modifying and optimizing the 150t DANIELI-EAF at Zhujiang Steel Co. are summarized. As a result of the modification and optimization, the utilization efficiency of oxygen was enhanced, the problems associated with the water leakage in the oxygen lance, nozzle and water-cooling plate, as well as with the spalling and collapsing of the high-temperature sedimentation chamber were solved, and the technical and economical indexes increased.
