Teacher professional development has now become the trend of teacher education reform. In this context, this article points out that professional competence is the core and it also enumerates and analyzes the components of college English teachers＇ professional competence. The article then expounds college English teachers＇ further education from the aspects of its concept, key contents and training forms.
