语域理论在英语商务信函翻译中的应用

The Application of Register Theory in the Translation of English Business Correspondence

指出英语商务信函是一个独立的语域。运用系统功能语法的语篇、语域和语境理论,通过对英语商务信函的语义特征的分析,指出翻译中译文应力求与原文语篇在功能上的对等,即语域的所有三种意义——概念意义、人际意义、语篇意义的对等。

In this article, English business correspondence is regarded as an independent register. Based on text, register and context theories of systemic functional grammar, this article analyses the semantic features of English business correspondence and points out that the Chinese version should try to achieve equivalence with the original text in function, namely, in the ideational, interpersonal and textual meanings of the register.
