Supported catalyst Rh/Al 2O 3 has been prepared, and the chemisorption of H 2 and D 2 on it has been studied by infrared spectroscopy. The results indicate that there is a form of chemisorbed H 2 and D 2 on 0 7% Rh/Al 2O 3, corresponding to IR band at 1989 cm -1 for Rh-H vibration and at 1448 cm -1 for Rh-D vibration, respectively.
