Breeding of Tomato F_1 Hybrid'Yue Xing'

粤星为番茄一代杂种，抗青枯病、抗ＴＭＶ，中抗ＣＭＶ，每６６７ｍ２产量约３０００ｋｇ。果实卵圆形，鲜红且有光泽、风味酸甜适中、平均单果重８５ｇ，果实较硬，裂果率８．５４％，畸形果率０．０５％，耐贮运、适于外贸出口。在华南地区从播种到初收约８０天。至１９９４年底已在广东、广西、福建、海南、江西等地示范推广８００ｈｍ２以上。

Yue Xing is a tomato F_1 hybrid, resistant to tomato southern bacteria wilt and TMV, tolerant to CMV. The yield was 37.5t/ ha. Fruits are oval type, bright red with luster,good flavor. Average fruit weighs 85g. It produces more firm fruits, low cracking rate(8.54%)and low malformed fruit rate (0.05%). Therefore it is suitable for transportation and export.From sawing to first harvest it takes about 80 days in southern China. Until 1994, it has been extended more than 800 ha in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan provinces.
