超短光泵NH_3远红外激光器

摘要 在对光泵远红外激光器样品管最佳长度研究成果的基础上发现,如果泵浦频偏和泵浦功率密度总是保持不变,激光器的工作气体压强越高则激光器的样品管长度就越短。我们安装了长度只有1cm的光泵NH_3远红外激光器并成功地出光。 A miniature optically pumped NH_3 FIR laser was studied experimentally. On the basis of theoretical study of the optimum length of sample tube of optically pumped FIR lasers, we found that, if the pumping detuning and the output power density of TE CO_2 laser alway keep unchanged, the higher the operating pressure of the laser system is, the shorter the optimum length of the sample tube will be. The optically pumped NH_3 FIR laser with the length of sample tube. as short as 1cm was built up and lase successfully. This is the shortest optically pumped FIR laser in the world.
