Taking the transportation and installation of the PC truck beam in Chongqing straddle monorail system as an example, this paper compares different projects, argues the bridge girder - erecting has been proved to be the best. The author then explains the basic principle of this project and lists problems to be settled while designing the bridge girder - erecting machine and girder vehicle. Finally, the author holds that this project has good social economic benefits and usefal experiences for domestic and international straddle type monorail transportation systems.
