摘要
EOS(Etherent over SDH)技术是利用SDH设备组建基于IP的数据通信网的一种新兴技术。文章简要介绍了EOS的基本原理和核心技术协议,以及湖南电力使用EOS技术组建宽带信息广域网的情况,对其网络结构、设备功能和运行维护进行了分析。实践证明,灵活应用EOS的各项功能,可以有效提高SDH通信网的传输效率。
EOS （Ethernet over SDH） is the new solution to construct a data communication network based on IP. The paper introduces the basic theory, core protocol of EOS, and WAN constructing method in Hunan Electric Power Company by EOS, discusses network construction, equipment function and maintenance. It＇s proved that applying EOS can improve transmission speed of SDH comlnunication network.
