Grammar and Meaning: Conflict and Unity

语言的发展一方面受语言系统内部的影响,另一方面则受语言外部环境的作用。当今研究语言的主流无外乎从语言的内部和外部这两个角度来观察语言。语法与语义的对立与统一正是这种语言观察的结果。这种关系的阐明更有助于我们辩证地认识语言与现实世界的联系,从而为我们以后的语言研究工作铺平道路。

Language is influenced by the mechanism of itself on the one hand, and by the external context on the other. Since we look into a language from both external and internal perspectives, we find that the relation between grammar and meaning is of conflict and unity. This relation not only dialectically illuminates the linkage between the language and the world, hut also paves the way for our future study on language.
