What Is the Foundation of Honesty and Credit

诚信何以为本问题已为伦理学家们所充分阐述。相对而言,诚信以何为本却较少受到关注。文章认为诚信之本有三:即现实利益基础、道德情感基础、信仰基础。这三个基础相辅相成,相互补充,共同构成诚信的基础,诚信建设必须紧紧围绕这三个基础展开方能切实有效。

The problem, why honesty and credit is the foundation, has been fully expounded by ethical philosophers. Relatively, the problem, what is the foundation of honesty and credit, has seldom been concerned. In this paper, I considered the realistic interests as the element, the moral emotion as the psychological base, the faith as the ultimate guarantee of honesty and credit. These three parts must be complementary to each other and commonly construct the foundation of honesty and credit. The construction of honesty and credit must be closely unfolded around these three parts.
