当前,区域合作已成为一种世界趋势。2001年成立的上海合作组织在发展中遇到了和将遇到一些问题:合作基础不牢固,国家之间缺乏认同感,交往和互信不足。同时合作还主要局限于边境安全和反恐,经济领域的合作有所进展,但还没成为组织的核心。此外,由于中亚国家自身的考虑,以及美国对中亚势态的干预,上海合作组织在今后能否得到长足的发展,还有待时间的检验。

Further more, due to the self--concern of some middle Asian countries and the interference from America in the affairs of these countries, whether SCO can develop rapidly will be tested by time.
