《越绝书》作者考辨

Annals of Wu and Yue States and Its Author Revisited

宋代以后,《越绝书》作者为子贡(或子胥)的传统说法得到了质疑,明代杨慎用析隐语法定为东汉袁康、吴平,清钦定《四库全书》袭杨慎之说,似乎成为定论,但质疑之声不绝。我以为,《篇叙外传记》的最后一段所谓的隐语文字可能是宋代以后文人所加,《越绝书》“成非一人”。

From the Song dynasty （960 - 1279 A. D. ） onward, the assertion that Zigong or Wu Zixu was the author of Annals of Wu and Yue States began to be challenged. Yang Shen （1488- 1559 A. D. ）, a Ming dynasty writer, maintained that the legendary book was written by Yuan Kang and Wu Ping who lived during the Eastern Han dynasty （25 - 220 A. D. ）. The author argues in the paper that it is most likely that the book was written by more than one author.
