文学翻译策略的演进——以《破山寺后禅院》四译本为例

On the Changing of Literature Translation Strategies——With the Four Translated Versions of a Tang Poem as Examples

本文在回顾中外文学翻译策略演进过程的基础上,以唐诗《破山寺后禅院》不同时期的四个英译本为例,分析支配翻译策略的种种规范,从而了解不同历史时期、不同文化、不同诗学传统、不同翻译目的等因素如何影响译者选择翻译策略。文章指出,只要不同语言和文化间仍存在差异,文学翻译策略的演进便会不停地继续下去。

After reviewing the changing process of literature translation strategies home and abroad, the article takes the four different translated versions of a Tang poem “On the Rear Dhyana Hall of Po shan Bonzary” as examples to analyze the norms behind the translation strategies and help to understand how translation strategies are influenced by different factors such as history, culture, poetics and translation aims,etc. It is also pointed out that the changing process of literature translation strategies will continue as long as there are still differences between languages and cultures.
