语言作为文化的载体像一面镜子反映着一国的传统文化。习语是指在语言的使用过程中逐渐形成的固定的短语或表达方式。较之其他词汇及表达,习语与其对应的文化联系更加紧密。这也就是我们在习语的翻译过程中需要同时考虑蕴含其中的语言以及其文化因素的原因所在。

Language as a carrier of culture reflects a nation＇s tradition and culture just like a mirror. Idioms are some set phrases and expressions, which have come into being gradually in the using of languages. Compared with other words and expressions, idioms are more closely connected with their own culture. That is the reason why we must deal with the contradictions both in language and in culture at the same time while translating an idiom.
