Walking along the streets in Melbourne, one can see the British Victorian stylebuildings everywhere, making you instantly sense the time-honored historic culture of the city. In the downtown area not far from the Yarra River towers an off-white building in Renaissance style which now serves as Melbourne＇s mail railway station. Its high dome resembles that of St. Paul＇s Cathedral in London and is very graceful. This building, boasting a history of more than 100 years, is the oldest railway station in Australia and has become a famous landmark of Melbourne.
