Different from romantic poetry, nature in Hardy＇s poetry is full of dismal, apathy, grief and cruelty. Criticism of anthropocentrism, rational civilization and crazy desire are the essence of Hardy＇s ecological i- deas. And the result of the development of this idea is his humanistic pursuing for integrality, harmony and kindness, this pursuit also became his ecological ideal.
