With its special mission to cultivate the teaching faculty of fundamental education, piano teaching in the normal institutions of higher learning has been promoting the vigorous development of piano culture of our nation. Through reflections on the piano teaching in the normal universities, shortcomings and pities can be found andthe orientation for the reform and further development of piano teaching can be made clearer so as to promote the development of the whole piano culture.
